It all started with an idea.
Consider this as my mini tell-all. It’s my first time sharing my story, but I’m choosing authenticity, honoring my journey.
Always a passionate, dedicated and industrious corporate professional, I began to feel out of place — just couldn’t find myself anymore; losing interest in so many things. Everything changed for me in January 2024, a pivotal moment for me during a visit with my father, who is battling late-stage dementia. His struggle reshaped my perspective, forcing me to reevaluate what truly brings joy and meaning to my life. In this moment of clarity, I took to heart a more serious determination to pursue my love for art, especially pastries — these, threads woven throughout my fabric, pulling at my heartstrings, for decades.
Growing up, I was always drawn to beauty; my passion for pastries and art runs deep within me. I was very fortunate to study under several esteemed pastry chefs, notably including the late French Chef Roland Mesnier, who became a pivotal figure in the world of pastry. During these years I also graduated from the University of Maryland, complementing my culinary education – now endeavoring onward.
Motivated by requests for, and the scarcity of, aesthetically beautiful eye-catching pastries, I chose to bring my creative energy and art forward — ready to infuse Tampa Bay with my distinctive visions of gorgeous and edible floral arrangements! It is with humility and gratitude that I announced the launch of Decadent & Dainty in the late spring of 2024.
My journey continues to teach me patience, courage, confidence, serving as a constant reminder to strive for excellence in everything I pursue. I invite you to join me, believing that every dream is attainable with dedication, determination (and masterful good taste).
