It all started with an idea.

I’ve always been the go-getter type—a passionate, hardworking corporate gal. But somewhere along the way, I started feeling like I didn’t quite fit in. My spark was fading, and I found myself losing interest in things that used to light me up. Then January 2024 arrived, and with it, a wake-up call that changed everything.

During a visit with my dad, who’s courageously battling late-stage dementia, I was struck by a powerful realization. His struggle reshaped my perspective, forcing me to rethink what truly brings joy and meaning to life. It was like a switch flipped, and suddenly, I knew it was time to chase my dreams—dreams that have been tugging at my heart for as long as I can remember: art and pastries.

From a young age, I was drawn to all things beautiful, and that love for creativity has always run deep. I had the incredible fortune of learning from some of the best in the business, including the legendary French Chef Roland Mesnier (yes, that Roland Mesnier!). My time in culinary school, combined with earning my degree from the University of Maryland, became the perfect recipe for creating something truly extraordinary.

Fast forward to the spring of 2024, and voilà—Decadent & Dainty was born! My mission? To share jaw-dropping, edible floral masterpieces with Tampa Bay. Why settle for ordinary pastries when they can be a feast for the eyes and the soul?

This journey has been a rollercoaster of lessons—patience, bravery, and the thrill of creating something extraordinary. It’s a reminder to keep dreaming big and putting heart into everything I do.

I’d love for you to join me on this adventure! Together, we can prove that no dream is too wild when paired with a sprinkle of determination, a dollop of passion, and, of course, a dash of decadent good taste.
